November 2007 Counting Down the Days until Mt. Hood Meadows Opens...

Caley LOVES snowboarding...more pictures to come!

November 2007 Oh My...

I'm not sure I'll be too popular putting these on but we were laughing so hard at Hannah and Heather. These are great memories. Wish some of you lived here to enjoy our girls like we do...(Nana and Papa :-))

November 2007 Annual Thanksgiving Pictures

Every year on Thanksgiving weekend (if it doesn't rain) one of our traditions is to take either a family photo or a photo of the girls. We are due for a family photo next year I think. We try to be creative with old buildings around the Salem downtown area. Russ just brings the tripod and camera and we save a ton of money by taking them ourselves.

October 2007 A First Time for Everything...

I think this is the first time the girls had ever carved pumpkins and scooped the junk out. They've always painted them or used permanent marker. Can't remember where Caley was...

October 2007 A Weekend at the Beach...

Heather with her books as we finished the last session...
She wouldn't let me put in the really goofy picture...

This weekend was a special weekend for just Heather and me. I had this time with Caley and Hannah when they turned 12 or 13 also. The whole focus of the weekend is on purity. It's pretty intense but also much fun as we spend time together talking, praying, shopping, eating, hanging out at the beach...and the list goes on. I wouldn't change this time with my girls for anything...

Still Catching up...October 2007

This is what homeschoolers do for fun....Can you guess who is who? Check out the popcorn kernel in the braces--I'm sure Dr. Kaplan was not very happy!

Hannah Turns 13...Yikes!! Another teenager...

Caley is the cake-maker in the family. Something strange happened to this one though...maybe too many candles!
Talking to Nana and Papa on the phone...
Hannah has been blessed with tons of friends most of them from our church youth group. (September 2007)

Going Back in Time...

September 2007
Camping in LaPine, Oregon

We bought a tent-trailer in July 2007 (Yes! No more sleeping on the ground or waking up to a flat mattress...) Some friends of ours introduced us to Dutch Oven cooking--I don't think we'll ever go back to regular camp food!

Welcome to Our World!

Here goes...we are entering the world of blogging! We hope you'll enjoy a glimpse into our lives. Our girls are growing up way too fast...not to mention the fact that Russ and I are getting older, too! Check back on a regular basis and we'll try and keep everyone updated on what is happening in our world...
